SETI counter not updating

My SETI counter Credit on my website hasn't updated for the past few days. Waited once more last night to confirm it (wrote down my credit) and it is indeed not changing. Weird thing is the Average: field is updating.

Hi,

Welcome to the forums.

If you head over to the Site Statistics page, you will see that the Seti stats have not updated since 12/02/08. This is because the team stats file has been found to be corrupt and my update script has therefore aborted the update process.

This has happened in the past as well. Once the stats files are found to be in good order, the updates will resume as normal. I will post a news item in a mo on the site tho.

Your RAC on the other hand is updated in real time using RAC delay algorithm. See this thread for more info.

SETI is not updating again !

I have 768 in rac but the sig only shows like 367,
also the AIS is slacking I have 532 in rac and the sig only shows 465....

... could you please check this Neil !?

Hi Crystallize,

I have been keeping an eye on the Seti stats. They have been failing each day because the team XML file fails my update script's sanity check. For example, last night the team XML file only had 5,663 records in it when it should be around 54,000!

I suspect that my update script may be running at the same time the XML file is being written to on the Seti server. I will change the time at which the update script downloads the Seti XML files to see if this helps.

It used run at 3:00am GMT, but now runs at 0:00 GMT.

Actually both the SETI and AIS stats still slacks behind ...
not only behind, they are totally wrong, I've never had that little RAC on SETI for many years.

I don't understand why your sig shows so much less than I really have !
pls, compare my sig to what my BOINC client says ...

Hi,

Your stats are up to date at both AIS and Seti@Home.

Please remember that your RAC values decay overtime so they won't match exactly what the BOINC manager shows.

At the moment your sig shows a RAC of 606 for Seti and 465 for AIS which isn't far off your BOINC manager when the decay is taken into account.

The Seti@Home stats did not update yesterday so they are slightly off.

Please believe me, it is the RAC decay that is the reason your RAC values on your signature do not match those shown by the BOINC client.
