New project
http://arcoboinc.unex.es/rnd/
A spanish project (Extremadura University) about "Radio Network Design (RND) is a telecommunication problem which consists in covering a geographic area with radio signal using the fewer number of transmitters that cover the maximum area. Therefore, it is an important topic to solve nowadays, for example in the mobile wireless technology domain, mobile telephony,... Bio-inspired algorithms are a good choice to solve the RND problem, because this is an NP-hard optimization problem which fits bio-inspired algorithms very well. In this project it is used the PBIL (Population-Based Incremental Learning) algorithm. This is a modern algorithm, and we hope to get good results with it. PBIL is based on genetic algorithms and competitive learning (typical in neural networks). "

Hi,
Welcome to the forums and thanks for the info.
Unfortunately, the project does not export XML stats yet -> http://arcoboinc.unex.es/rnd/stats/.
When they do, I can add them to the site.
Cheers,
Neil.

You can/think add it?

Sztaki Desktop Grid is already there and from what I coincidentally read earlier today, CPDN beta doesn't export stats.
Belgian Beer doesn't use the standard port number so I don't think Neil can add the stats.
Milkyway@home isn't exporting stats yet.

Hi,
clarkf1 is correct... Sztaki Desktop Grid is already supported by my site.
All the others don't export stats apart from Belgian Beer which uses a non-standard port number for their web server. Unfortunately, my web host has restrictions in place that only allow network traffic on standard port numbers, so I can't add the project
I can add Cunning Plan though. However, their stats files have not been updated since March 2005. Also, the project's web site states that it is only being used to test account creation, so it's not doing any real science and therefore I don't think it should be added to my site at the mo.
Of course, if my users disagree, then I'll provide support for the project.
Cheers,
Neil.

About RDN and their stats
Subject : RND@home statistics
Hello Nightbird:
After checking that the credit system of RND@home works OK, we are begun to export our credit statistics. They can be obtained as XML files from http://arcoboinc.unex.es/rnd/stats/. Please, if it is possible, inform in your fora about this. Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
Miguel.-
