Post by Neil » Thu Dec 22, 2011 1:25 am

Hi all,

Windows Vista and Windows 7 users can get their BOINC stats on their desktops via the newly created desktop gadget! This is the initial version, so please let me know if you experience any bugs. Happy Christmas!

Head over to http://boinc.mundayweb.com/desktop/windows.php for screen shots and download instructions.

This is the initial version, so please let me know if you find any bugs etc.

Happy Christmas!

+1, LIKE, .. :)
thank you very much!

will report problems I may encounter here.. none so far.

suggestions for upcoming versions:
what I really would like to see, is:
1) all projects (or the probability to choose which ones to display)
2) a column to display the work done (or credit change) from the past 24h (but that is more or less already in the RAC.

have a merry christmas,
p.

Only a slight problem with mine.

When in large view, Others displays as 335745.479999999 whereas everything else is rounded to 2 DP

Ah yes... damn floats in JavaScript!

Version 0.2 has now been released to patch this "feature": http://boinc.mundayweb.com/desktop/down ... INC.gadget

The gadget will now report when a newer version is available as well by changing the colour of the version number to orange and it will generate a hyperlink to the download page :-)

pe6o4, I'll see what I can do about those feature suggestions.

Cheers,

Neil.

Hi all,

This new version allows you to specify how many projects to show and supports dynamic heights when undocked.

Hi Neil,

Wow. Thats great. Thank you very much.

If there is one thing to complain, its the space between two projects: its too much, bloating up the gadget. :) especially if you want lots of projects being displayed. Maybe you could remove those empty lines between singular projects in a later version.
But it is already great. Just a suggestion. :)

Have a happy new year!
pe.
