The Lattice Project: Important

December 18, 2007 New Code Signing Keys! We have made our code signing procedure more secure, but in so doing had to regenerate the project keys. Unfortunately, this means that if you were previously attached to the project, you must detach and re-attach to the project! Terribly sorry for the incon...

Sztaki Desktop Grid is already there and from what I coincidentally read earlier today, CPDN beta doesn't export stats.

Belgian Beer doesn't use the standard port number so I don't think Neil can add the stats.

[email protected] isn't exporting stats yet.

Go through the link on their front page.

The project has a new URL: http://www.cosmologyathome.org/ but the old one will still work

CPU Idle Software cooler

CPUIdle is a nifty piece of software. It's lowered my CPU idle temp by about 4C when idle How it works can be found here You can get a 30-day trial here Compatibility with BOINC: If you have this program running at the same time as BOINC, it'll share the resources 50-50 with BOINC thus halving your ...

Mine was topping out at about 60C when running BOINC. I just turned two fans around (I had one the wrong way round, and turned the other for experimentation) and moved the location of another one. I'm now running 5-7C less :D I now have one exhaust on the side, one intake at the front, an exhaust at...

Hopefully he'll see sense.

He might have shot himself in the foot. From what I understand some people who have been around a while have been banned and with the new project app still in its testing phase, losing knowledgeable crunchers is definitely not the way to go.

[email protected] has new work

For all those Predictor crunchers who detached/suspended Predictor, they have new work. They released a new Windows client a couple of days ago and they're running tests. They're currently doing some shared memory alterations to the server so more people get work for Windows, it came out on Linux fi...
