Hi Neil,

Have not written for a while. Wish that everyone is happy crunching.

Could you add a new project Ideologias@Home. The stats are at the normal position. According to the web site, the aim of the project is to study how people in a certain region evolve ideologically over time with respect to an idea. Quite an interesting topic as compared to existing BOINC projects.

By the way, it is worth to note that the people who are in charge there also have a number of BOINC projects as well. Happy summer days and refreshing beer is a must

Two new projects have their stats exported now. OPTIMA@HOME at http://boinc.isa.ru/dcsdg/ (Linux and Mac only, no Windows at present) and Neurona@Home at http://falua.cesfelipesegundo.com/Neurona/ (needs 3 and 6 Gigabytes per WU and only by invitation). The academy runs the latter project also manages the Ideologias@Home and the completed Virus Respiratorio Sincitial.

About Surveill@Home

Surveill@Home is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to conduct end-to-end fine-grained monitoring of web sites.
The aim of the project is to deploy a large infrastructure to support thousands of probes monitoring the Internet.
Each probe repeatedly performs a pre-defined set of web transactions on web-sites, accessing each site about 4 times per hour.
The proposed approach allows us to obtain important results on end-user visible failures and performance statics, from several thousands view points spread throughout the Internet.
With the help of the volunteer community we will achieve this ambitious goal.
We are welcoming BOINC users who want to participate in our initial monitoring effort.
This is a "non-CPU" intensive project.

Nah. If the stats are there, use them. They're meant to be available for use, so no permission necessary. New projects that don't want too many volunteers due to publicity just need to close account opening or go invite only. Pet hate of mine. Also hate projects that refuse to export stats - It's all part of the BOINC community.

NumberFields@home

NumberFields@home is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in number theory. You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer.

NumberFields@home searches for fields with special properties. The primary application of this research is in the realm of algebraic number theory. Number theorists can mine the data for interesting patterns to help them formulate conjectures about number fields. Ultimately, this research will lead to a deeper understanding of the profound properties of numbers, the basic building blocks of all mathematics.

NumberFields@home is based at the school of mathematics at Arizona State University. The final results of this project will be complete tables of number fields. The results are given in table form or as a searchable database.
