Stats for hosts

Post by clarkf1 »

Hi Neil,

I was wondering if the XML stats provide any data on hosts, so for each computer you could have the stats for that computer on the Konfabulator widget rather than the grand totals for the user.

i don't think they do as the stats are based on the project ID code that is given out on each project for that particular user so if you have 10 computers runnig seti for instance then there is only the one project ID supplied by the project for stats.

Some one correct me if im wrong

I might have to see if I can adapt the widget to get information from the client_state.xml

Hi,

It is possible for host data to be shown potentially, as each BOINC project site provides host data.

However, at present I do not collect this information. The host information is either provided with the user XML stats or in a separate "host.xml" file (or similar).

If you make any modifications to the widget, please let me know as I may be able to incorporate them into a future release. Full credit will of course be given to any modifications that are included.

Cheers,

Neil.

When I find the time, I'll have a stab and it and send you the results.

If I get completely stuck, I might just ask for your advice.
