Didn't see this one mentioned yet:

Bitcoin Utopia

http://www.bitcoinutopia.net/bitcoinutopia/

"Bitcoin Utopia is a commercial platform for crowd-donations that uses Internet-connected computers to mine cryptocurrencies for incentive awards and science projects. The other purpose of mining is to secure cryptocurrency transactions against reversal."

Stats in the usual place :)

Probably not to everyones's taste though.

Cheers,

Al.

Hmm... seems a bit dodgy to me. Not sure I would be happy promoting a project that is merely mining crypto currencies as it doesn't feel like it's in the true spirit of BOINC.

Thoughts?

It is to provide funding for science projects and not for personal gain. I don't see it as being wildly different from the Donate@home project which is already listed here.

But like I said, it's probably not for everyone. To me it's quite interesting as it's the first (AFAIK) bitcoin project that can use CPU power for mining, albeit at a very low level. Good job they're only trying to raise a few hundred dollars!

Not really bothered if it's included on stats sites or not to be honest, just putting it out there for anyone that's interested

This is about an old project being closed down... http://docking.cis.udel.edu/

As of May 23 Docking@Home is no more.

Plus, although nobody seems to be sure, fightmalaria@home appears to be dead in the water for want of a better expression.
