Unable Add climate@home to Stats

Post by Ex_Brit »

It's been over 48 hours since I got credit for work. Neil is the project not submitting their stats? That wouldn't surprise me as it appears that there is only 1 person running the entire show.
Surprising considering it's supposedly a NASA project...although on second thoughts, maybe not surprising, even they have had cut-backs recently.

If that's the case I will try to give them a prod.

They haven't updates the exported stats since 30-Jul-2013 16:44

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for that to change in the near future.

Cheers,

Al.

Thanks. I'll have a go at them, not that anyone appears to care over there at the moment.

Hi chaps,

Alas I am at the mercy of their stats exports as Al said :-(

Rest assured my site does check their stats each day.

Cheers,

Neil.

They say they did it yesterday (11th). Is there any way of telling if they actually exported their stats?

I get the distinct impression that the person doing all the talking doesn't really know his/her way around. For instance I was told that Team Canada, despite being a BOINC-wide team and having been around since 2007, doesn't exist...that was despite posting a direct link and even a link to their description on another project (SETI). They also told me that I must not turn off my computer until all work is finished (i.e. never), which we all know is balderdash.

So I don't hold out much hope for early resolution of the stats issue.

Edit: we just found out that no, kai still hasn't exported any new stats since 30 July despite saying he did. A user in their message boards is now explaining to him how to do it..if he is listening...sigh.

I suspect the 'no Team Canada' issue is for the same reason, he doesn't know how.

Then there's the copyright notice at the bottom of their pages which still reads generically....need I explain more?

OK sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but on occasion, the most effective.

For a NASA project it looks bad. I wonder if en email to Charlie Bolden might help? (That would be my last resort)
