Post by clarkf1 »

There is a CPDN Beta Project at

http://cpdnbeta.oerc.ox.ac.uk/

Not sure whether stats are being exported.

More info on the project can be found here

Hi,

You're not the first to ask ;-)

I've found out that apparently your CPDN beta stats are included in
your CPDN stats: http://boincstats.com/forum/forum_thread.php?id=1665

"23 Jan, 2007 - Within a few days, beta test credits will count towards your
'main' CPDN credits, as we think it's only fair that beta testers should get
credits." This is taken from the CPDN beta news pages and the above thread.

So it looks like I don't have to add the project after all if the stats are
included in the normal CPDN stats.

Also, permissions have been set on their stats directory.

Hope this helps,

Neil.

Hi Clarkf1

Mo here from CPDN. Sorry I didn't see your post here earlier.

Tolu doesn't seem to have arranged yet for CPDN Beta2 credits to be added to our main CPDN accounts. We'll just have to be patient. Nobody's mentioning this on the Beta2 forum because Tolu's first priority is obviously to get the Mid-Holocene models right and if possible running faster than the current HADSM models so they can be launched on the main project.

There are only two programmers for CPDN and its sub-projects so they always have a long to-do list.

Fair enough, after the first WU errored out I decided not to crunch CPDN anymore.

I've only ever had one success and that required too much baby-sitting for my liking (daily backups etc.)
