Internal Server Error

Post by Ageless » Fri Jun 21, 2013 10:25 pm

I just got the following while making a new entry into the Wiki:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Instead of me emailing the unknown email address (who does it go to, you or me?), I thought better to report it here.
Error happened around 10:23pm UK time on the 21st June 2013. Don't tell me it was due to the solstice.

Hi Jord,

How did you generate that error?

Cheers,

Neil

Over the next two weeks, I'll be busy moving the BOINC FAQs to the Wiki. At that time I was trying to add a FAQ to one of the links I had already generated some months ago.
I must say, I have thus far only seen the error once, not again ever since.

Both the Wiki and the BOINC FAQs slow down enormously around 10pm, perhaps that this has something to do with that.
Nothing in the logs that you could see?

Alas I don't have root access on the server so I can't access the system logs. I can confirm that it's not my update scripts though.

As I have shared hosting it could be another user's cron job or web site.

Ah OK. Since it only happened once (thus far), I'll pass it off to gremlins.
In the mean time, if the email address isn't pointing to either of us, can you change it so it does (change to you)?

I'll leave my email address in the About link.

Hi Jord,

The e-mail address was a black hole, but it will now forward e-mails to myself.

Cheers,

Neil.
