Hi,

Support for the project has now been added.

It's listed as "QCN Sensor".

Cheers,

Neil.

QCN Sensor and QCN Taiwan (at http://qcn.twgrid.org/) are official mirrors of QCN.

Haven't mentioned this one until now as it's only just started working for me properly with the statically linked apps ...

SimOne@home

http://sim1.sytes.net/sim1/

"In nature, a variety of methods have been developed to allow many organisms to survive in extreme conditions such as, for example, high temperatures, high pressure or high salt concentrations. One of such method is the use of osmolytes, small molecules present even in very high concentrations in the cell fuid. Of these cosolvents in nature they are of two categories: osmoprotectant that stabilize the native structure of protein and denaturants that, on the contrary, destabilize the structure ..."

The old, long deceased, VTU project has been reincarnated as "VGTU project@Home"

http://boinc.vgtu.lt/vtuathome/

Note that this uses the old URL, but is actually a new project as the old project user database was lost, so you'll need to create a new account in the usual way. There seems to be a problem with the validator at the moment, so don't expect to get credit instantly :)

Stats are in the expected place :)

Another new one, which has caused a fair bit of 'discussion' ...

http://donateathome.org/

I don't normally suggest projects that I don't crunch myself, but as nobody else has mentioned it, I'll put it out there :)

Hi all,

At the moment I have no plans to add the project due to its dubious nature.

I will follow the lead of Willy at BOINCStats.com. At the moment, he does not plan to add the project either.

I will always listen to the needs of my users though, so please do post if you feel strongly about the topic.

Cheers,

Neil.

Hmmm.... looks like Willy has caved in: http://boincstats.com/forum/forum_thread.php?id=7113

If he adds the project, they I will be probably forced to :-(

Hi Neil,

Please add PG@Putra (http://boinc.biruni.upm.my/putra/). According to their web, "Putra Desktop Grid is UPM [Universiti Putra Malaysia] implementation of DesktopGrid network, consist of computers at lab and local volunteer. The project is fully supported by the International Desktop Grid Federation (IDGF). "

The statistics is at the usual location.

Cheers,
Philip

Neil

I can not add to my projects DG@PUTRA using either the id or username. I noticed that the original request called for PD@PUTRA.

Hi,

I took the name for the project from the project's homepage: http://boinc.biruni.upm.my/putra/

They refer to it as DG@Putra.

What user ID are you trying to add? If you can let me know I can do some testing.

Cheers,

Neil.

That's because you haven't completed a valid workunit yet. Your only 2 WUs both died with computation errors (as do most of mine, but a couple worked for me!). No credit means you don't go into the stats. Same as any other project. Stick with it :)

It's taken me a month to get 2.60 credits - Getting to the 100k is going to take some time :)

Cheers,

Al.
