Hi Philip,

Thanks for the update - I now have been able to add both projects.

Neil unfortunately you did not add the two projects to the are where we would place the project number or id. CAS@HOME and CZECHNationalTeam. Have a good vacation and enjoy it. you deserve it for all the hard work you do. :D

Ah... well spotted!

Oopsie! Both projects are now available to use on the site.

Basically, when adding a project it is set to be "disabled" by default which means it's not available publicly. This therefore allows me to test that adding the project went ok etc.

Alas, yesterday I forgot to set this flag to "enabled". D'oh!

Thank you - you're too kind!

I'm glad you posted otherwise my error could have gone unnoticed for some time!

Congratulations, Neil. You may not spot it also: there are now exactly 100 projects listed. A marvellous milestone.

Hi Neil,

We got a new BOINC project: eOn. The URL is http://eon.ices.utexas.edu/eon2/.

Actually it is the eOn Project, a non-BOINC project, which is now implemented using the boinc framework. Background information can be found here http://eon.cm.utexas.edu/

Hi Philip,

My PC has gone "tits up" - I think it's probably the PSU.

So I can't add the project just yet. I hope to have my PC fixed over the next week or so (providing it is the PSU!). Thankfully I have a recent back-up in case it is "new PC time".

Watch this space ;-)

Cheers,

Neil.

Hi all,

The project has now been added. However, at the time of writing the project's servers were down so a stats download has not been possible. The project has been set to automatically update overnight, providing eOn's stats are available.

Cheers,

Neil.

Hi Neil,

Have not written for awhile. :D Wishing you all the best.

The BOINC world is as busy as usual. There are many new (or new old) projects around. But most of them have not generated WUs yet or exported their stats. We have Constellation (http://aerospaceresearch.net/constellation/) - need invitation code to join, DNA@Home (http://dnahome.cs.rpi.edu/dna/) - says would soon have WUs, GA@home (http://glife.is-a-geek.org/ga/) - may be a resurrection of Genetic Life, Luxrenderfarm@home (http://www.luxrenderfarm.de/luxfarm/) - another rendering engine?, mopac@home (http://mopac.cadaster.eu/) - has been around for some time but yet no stats, sudoku@vtaiwan (http://sudoku.nctu.edu.tw/) - another project to prove that no 16-clue Sudoku puzzles exist (remember the then Project Sudoku?), and UNCW's Distributed Data Analysis System (http://152.20.89.106/ddas/) - a project since 2007 but is generating WUs recently (beware, all WUs seem error out as soon as they start).

For those new (or new old) projects that are generating WUs and export stats, may you consider adding them -

Biochemical Library (https://boinc.vanderbilt.edu/bcl/) and Test Project (http://isaac.ssl.berkeley.edu/test/). Biochemical Library is a new project that does research of the Vanderbilt University. About Test Project, it looks like a BOINC testing project located at the UC Berkeley University. It has been there for some time but began generating WUs again recently though the stats have not been updated since 4 Apr 2010.

 to the BOINC world and the crunchers!

Cheers,
Philip

Hi Philip,

Thanks for the new projects. I could only add BCL and Constellation as these were the only ones exporting stats.

Hi Neil

Disappointingly :( , Constellation (http://aerospaceresearch.net/constellation/) still needs an invitation code to participate and ordinary crunchers are unable to join.

Of the other projects I mentioned, Luxrenderfarm@home has exported their stats at the usual location (http://www.luxrenderfarm.de/luxfarm/stats/). You may consider adding it.

Cheers :) ,
