Adding of SETI Classic Stats not working at the moment?

Post by Gipsel » Wed Nov 28, 2007 6:36 pm

Just tried to add my SETI classic stats in my project list and got the error: Unable to parse Seti Classic stats from HTML stats.
Have SETI changed the layout of the provided stats that broke the parser somehow? As a side note, the SETI stats got no update since last week. Is that maybe a linked problem?

Hi Gipsel,

Thanks for pointing out the error with the [email protected] classic stats. They had changed the HTML format which prevented my parser from being able to parse the [email protected] classic stats.

I have now modified the code and all should be working now.

The [email protected] BOINC stats have not updated since the 24/11/07 as the XML files have not passed my update script's sanity checks.

I'm trying out a new version on my test system to see if I can get the stats to update before releasing the new code onto my production server.

Cheers,

Neil.

Bah, too bad classic stats aren't available on the XML page (show_user.php?format=xml). I should ask the devs to add it!

I should also change my HTML parsing code to use the XML page instead!

Cheers,

Neil.

Hi,

Welcome to the forums.

Seti changed the format of their HTML web pages which broke my Seti Classic parsing code. I have now updated the parser to handle the new format.

You should now be able to add your Seti Classic stats to your account.

Thanks for highlighting the issue,

Neil.

Hi Neil,

I am trying to add my Seti Classic stats but it doesn't appear to be an option on the project list. Am I missing something?

Cheers and TIA,

Anthony

Hi Anthony,

Apologies, it would appear that during testing some time ago I had commented out the line of code that generates the "Add Seti Classic stats" link on the "Your Projects" page.

If you log into your account now and go to "Your Projects" should see a link by your [email protected] entry which when clicked will attempt to retrieve your classic stats.

If successful, you can then chose to show them on your All-In-One user graphic by going to "Your Graphics".

Hope this helps and thanks for pointing our the error,

Neil.
