After What Seems Like Eons I've Dropped BOINC - For Now

Post by Ex_Brit »

Too many projects cooking the way their work units use BOINC. Many purposely coding so that their project will always run and always be ahead of others etc.
Also too many badly coded and eating up resources as a result.
Sick of my system slowing down as a result and believe me, I have loads of resources, but some of the projects want to eat it all up regardless of settings.
Sad but true and I'm sick of getting the run around when I complain to them about it.
In the beginning it was just Seti@Home and no problems, maybe I should have just stuck with them.
So no more BOINC for now.
