Re: New projects

Hi, I will confess I have given up for now. I tried various things and utilities to correct their XML files but had no success. A simple example which fails is of the form: <description>A & B</description> This is invalid XML due to the ampersand. The content in the tag should use CDATA markup f...

Re: New projects

Hi,

I've tried to add the project but their XML files contain invalid characters. I've tried to clean them up but each time I correct one character error, another comes up.

I'll see what I can do but it would be good if the project itself could fix their XML files.

Cheers,

Neil.

Re: Rosetta@Home stats not updating

Hi again,

Finally tracked down the problem to Python's ElementTree.iterparse() function causing a lot of RAM to be used which in the case of Rosetta caused the script to fail under cron.

Code modified to free up RAM and this has resolved the issue at last.

Cheers,

Neil.

Re: Ability to add new systems?

Hi, Welcome to the forums! Yes you can add additional emulators to PES but it requires a little bit of effort and some familiarity with Linux at the command line. The PES image contains a ext4 file system for the OS and the software. It typically leaves 300-400MB free. The rest of the space on the S...

Re: Rosetta@Home stats not updating

Hi,

I'm not sure why at present that the Rosetta stats were not up to date, but they are now after a manual run of the stats update script.

I'll keep an eye on it.

Cheers,

Neil.

Re: SETI@Home Project Stats

Hi,

Thanks again for finding a good bug. As it happens, this particular bug was there before the recent site update.

It was due to a JSON encoding error on my part.

Now fixed thanks to changing the code to use PHP's built in JSON functions.

Cheers,

Neil.

Re: Apostrophes around the Name and Country

Hi,

Thanks for finding the first bug!

Now squashed.

The MLC project stats have been corrected and the other projects will correct themselves during their next update overnight.

Cheers,

Neil.

Re: New projects

Hi all,

Support for the Kruptos@Home project has now been added.

Re: New projects

Just an update. I've got a test version of the site up and running with the new database schema. I'm now working on a new version of the stats update script to make use of the new schema. Also an ideal opportunity to convert the code from Perl to Python and modernise it a bit. The code was written l...

Re: New projects

Hi all, Disappointingly, my web host has said they cannot increase my database limit which is disappointing. For historical reasons, each BOINC project is stored in its own database, mainly for manageability. However, due to the rise in projects I've now got over 180 databases. I'll see if I can mov...

Re: New projects

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

I'm unable to add any new projects at the moment as I have hit my database limit.

I have contacted my web host to see if this can be increased.

Cheers,

Neil.
