Re: New projects
Warning to all, be careful navigating to physics@home from the BOINC client. It appears their website has been hijacked. It's been down for ages now anyway so I think it is possibly dead although the owner did say more work was forthcoming the last time I managed to get onto their website. I've ditc...

Re: New projects
Kai the project leader has just posted that he will be making work available again soon, so climate@home is continuing.
Apparently he took over the project when NASA stopped funding it. So it's a one man show which means he's a pretty busy person.
Edit: Got work - all is well again.

Re: New projects
Well maybe the climate@home blog I quoted was premature but have emailed NASA asking if it is so. The website came back to life today! But no work.

Re: New projects
Surprising for NASA not to at least give us warning. I know they are on a tight budget but to simply pull the plug like that seems odd to me. They have a separate web page devoted to climate@home so have emailed them to take it down or at least add a remark that it's history. Like any civil service ...

Re: New projects
Found this post over at the BOINC Forums: Climate@Home (a NASA project) is no more. The project has been down since Dec. 6. Here's some news about it at https://modelingguru.nasa.gov/community/atmospheric/boinc: The Climate@Home project is no longer active. It was a pilot project to enable distribut...

Re: New projects
Pasquale has just tweeted that it should be up in early 2014: https://twitter.com/intent/user?original_referer=http%3A%2F%2Forbit.psi.edu%2F~tricaric%2F&profile_id=7950432&screen_name=tricaric&tw_i=403561091768131584&tw_p=embeddedtimeline&tw_w=346316181596160001 http://orbit.psi....

Re: New site launched!
I have no problem viewing the page without any need for scrolling either way. Are you using the monitor's recommended resolution or magnifying stuff? Neil needs the ads to help him finance the project so maybe top and bottom would help in this case? BTW I quite understand the needs of those with poo...

Re: New projects
Whilst not a new project, it looks like orbit@home is renewing itself. I don't think anything will change from your end Neil. Here's what the home page states at the moment: orbit@home is upgrading! We are upgrading the orbit@home server. A new version of the system should be online in October/Novem...

Re: New projects
Neil a quick question, what time of day do you gather stats? It's more than 24 hours since I got some credits at Physics@home yet I still can't add it to my graphic. I know they've been distributing them.

Re: New projects
Al just beat me on news of physics@home by a hairline. So, just a little piece on Climates@Home. They has news and WUs now. Got 1 and had credits, though they are out of work now, but more will come surely. Yes they're active. Kai is having difficulty getting his news to appear on the BOINC client ...

Re: Unable Add climate@home to Stats
They say they did it yesterday (11th). Is there any way of telling if they actually exported their stats? I get the distinct impression that the person doing all the talking doesn't really know his/her way around. For instance I was told that Team Canada, despite being a BOINC-wide team and having b...

Re: Unable Add climate@home to Stats
Thanks Neil. It appears that they don't export them....at the moment. I'll work on them.
