Re: New projects

Please don't pollute another message board with the Albert stuff until they've decided what they want to do themselves :) They already know what they want. It's you who are confused what you want there. What did you not understand of: "Most of the time Albert@Home will have no work to run at a...

Please don't. They don't do stats. They'll be shutting down those stats this week as well. See http://albert.phys.uwm.edu/forum_thread.php?id=8835 for more information.

BOINC & Seti off line for 24 hours

Due to major electrical upgrades at Berkeley campus, a couple of buildings will be without power. One of the affected buildings houses both the Seti and Seti Beta projects, which will be off line for 24 hours due to this work being carried out. This started around 20.00 h UTC. Since the BOINC server...

Re: New web site - BETA testers required!

Right... the colours have been changed back to the old scheme and you will now only get one scroll bar. I think it looks better already. That is a lot better on the eyes. Even though now I could use some bright colour waking up scheme, it being 6.15am, me needing to go places in an hour and not loo...

Re: New web site - BETA testers required!

I know what you mean about the blue bars - think I may go back to the subsilver theme, but keep the layout. They might mellow a bit if the background wasn't that hard white. Doubtful though. I like the layout, though it is a long scroll to the bottom. Remember that option I asked for the FAQs? Perh...

Re: New web site - BETA testers required!

The bright blue bars are still visible for me wherever I look. Do you plan to give away Ray-Bans on activation of this site? ;) Just me, I know, but I hate bright blue bars combined with a further white site. Anyway, on to debugging. Do you really want two vertical scroll bars? One for the "new...

Re: NSF@HOME

It goes to show that people will crunch anything. The description of NFS says "NFS@Home is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do the lattice sieving step in the Number Field Sieve factorization of large integers." They lost me after "to do the"... No exp...
