Hi Neil,

Some of the unpublished FAQs have lots of views already. With lots, I mean over 100 in general. I doubt the mods check them regularly for updates.

What else can it be?

The list of FAQs on the front page is smaller than the list you see if you go into each category.

Eg, there are 3 FAQs shown in "08. Project Application Errors", but if you follow the link you see 6 of them, some of which look unfinished. And all 6 of them then get their Views counter bumped. The same thing happens for section "05. Project Questions and Answers" too.

I'm guessing this could be a bug in the FAQ service?

A web spider is going to follow every link it can find so will keep pushing those Views counters up.

Hi,

You have found a nice bug!

Basically, I missed off part of the query string to check for published FAQs when viewing a category.

This bug was present in the BOINC FAQ Service as well as the PCF FAQ Service. It has now been fixed.

I will reset the view counters for all un-published FAQs in all my FAQ services in a mo...
